Gaspare works as a laboratory technologist at Gold Coast, where he draws blood, and performs our specialized hormonal assays in our state-of-the-art laboratory.

After graduating with a Bachelor of Science in Biology in 1988, Gaspare began working as a laboratory technologist and phlebotomist.  After working for 10 years with distinction as a bench scientist, he currently serves as Plainview Hospital’s Laboratory Supervisor, where he oversees the laboratory testing conducted by lab specialists for the entire hospital.

For Gaspare, his career as a scientist serves a larger societal goal.  “My work helps the community, a makes a difference in people’s lives.  This type of work requires an intense attention to detail – not a single mistake is allowed.  In order to be good at this job, you have to concentrate, and have a huge amount of focus.  I enjoy making a difference by using my mind, and supporting the doctors and nurses as a person behind the scenes, to provide the best medical assistance to people who need it.”

Gaspare is the proud father of six children, three boys and three girls, ranging in age from five months to 22 years.
