Dr Cheryl Zadek
Dr. Cheryl Zadek is a licensed Clinical Psychologist. She graduated Summa Cum Laude with a Psy. D. and Masters in Psychology from Pace University where she was awarded an University Academic Achievement Award for her graduate studies. There, she was also recognized as a member of the Psi Chi National Honor Society for Psychology. Dr. Zadek also earned a second Masters in Counseling Psychology with a specialization in women’s counseling from Boston University. She has an undergraduate degree also in Psychology from SUNY Binghamton.
Dr. Zadek has worked in variety of clinical settings including
schools, clinics, inpatient and outpatient hospitals, as well as
in private practice. She has conducted inpatient and outpatient
individual, marital, family, group and play psychotherapy with adults,
children, adolescents, and families. She has also provided psychological
assessments and evaluations.
Dr. Zadek has extensive experience working with complex psychological
issues including infertility, chronic pelvic pain, endometriosis,
posttraumatic stress disorder, stress reduction techniques, drug
and alcohol counseling, family crisis, eating disorders, obsessive
compulsive disorder, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, panic
disorders, depression, anxiety, sexual and physical abuse and dysfunction,
learning disabilities, and crisis intervention. She utilizes a variety
of therapeutic approaches including psychodynamic, cognitive-behavioral,
and behavioral modalities as well as relaxation techniques. These
therapeutic approaches are offered to individuals and to couples
to help meet their emerging needs as they proceed at the Reproductive
Medicine and Surgery Center. Dr. Zadek has special interest and
experience in counseling patients with infertility and reproductive
disorders.
